Prairie Creek COE Campground – Rogers, AR
Our travels have taken us through all sorts of weather, but nothing prepared us for this. The rain was relentless, drenching us completely as we tried to hook up our camper. We were soaked to the bone. After changing into dry clothes, we pointed our rig toward Arkansas. The purpose of this trip was simple: to spend time with Mitch’s family, especially his mom, who had just moved there from Arizona.
Arkansas delivered. The weather was fantastic, and Mitch’s brother took us out on the boat. Nothing beats the feeling of the wind in your face as you go full throttle across the water. We found a cove for lunch and a swim. That’s when the party started. A huge houseboat pulled up, and before we knew it, eight boats had rafted together. It was a sight to see, and it looked like an epic Labor Day weekend in the making!
The rest of our trip was all about family—great food, great company, and great memories. It’s always tough to say goodbye, but we know we’ll be back in Arkansas soon.
